Starting to paint the Avatar

After what feels like a very long dry spell, I finally got started painting the Avatar. It's pretty sad progress, mostly because I spent a portion of the day making a new folding game board for Malifaux and painting a minotaur model I've been working on for months now. All I've done here ...

eBizzle fo’shizzle.

A sentence I have never used before and hopefully never will again.Anyway, I just made sixty-two quid on eBay. Yay. I have also spent twelve of those, pretty much instantaneously, on some tokens from Litko. Yes, the job could probably have been done with paper or card home-made ones, but I sort ...

Idrians, Show me Whatcha Got!

This battle plan is written after the tournament took place but is an accurate reflection on my preparation for the tournament, enjoy!

With the recent disappointment of my Menites last tournament I was determined to perform better with them this time around. The next Day of Valour was going to be a 750 point SR4 tournament, ...

Slacking, yes I have been slacking

I don't know why (maybe it's mkII coming?), but have been slacking with the battle reports the last few weeks. So now is time to catch up.The first game was a 750 against epic Magnus I played with my epic Morghoul list, with which I have been playing for weeks ...

eHaley vs. Kaelyssa

I kicked off my weekend with a friendly 750 game. This time around my Cygnar faced Jen's (Bobaferret) Retribution. This is my third game against the Retribution, and I have to admit, I'm really liking that faction. As a Cygnar player, there is an awful lot to find attractive about them, probably because they ...

Warmachine: Been Painting: Magnus’ Agenda

I'm disproportionately proud of these. They're not brilliant, but they're the first models I've done where the grime and battle damage has come out looking all right, and my painting-ten-Trenchers-in-an-afternoon method appears to have worked all right (basecoat carefully, slap the inks on and hope for the best).

Warmachine: ‘Educating Shiny’: From Little Acorns…

So, I recently made the dubious choice to move three hundred miles away from all the people I play Warmachine with and relocate to a small provincial city where games that aren't produced by Games Workshop tend to be of the old-school historical variety and scare me slightly. Did I despair? Well, yes, I did, for ...
