Before you start to read trough my mumbles, you have to understand that I have never owned a Privateer Press miniature. Yes, I have had a chance to meddle with a ´jack in a store but that’s not the same thing. I’m first and foremost a terrain builder and then a gamer, but for reason unknown I have never to acquired a single figure from either Warmachine or Hordes.
It has been a while since my last post. We had a little water accident in our house and we had to evacuate our family for 1.5 weeks. So when we returned to our house on Sunday I was surprised that there was something waiting for me:

I had not a clue what the envelope could contain and when I ripped the thing into pieces, my heart jumped a beat! Kromac The Ravenous!!! My first Privateer Press miniature (or two in fact)!!

I had ordered it quite some time ago and forgot the whole thing. Yes, I know that all of you readers are veterans of hundreds of battles and have sent thousands of miniatures to their deaths and you’re think that what’s so great about a pair of miniatures?
You all know the feeling when you have waited for something for ages, read everything about it from the internet and googled every little picture of it and then you get it in your hands. The feeling is priceless! What multiplies the feelings is the fact that these figures will not be my last Privateer Press miniatures for sure. So let me wallow in my happiness!
First impression = Holy cow how big this fellow is! I have something like 200+ miniatures from another company and compared to their minis, Kromac in his human form is HUGE! Great!!

Second impression = How about that axe? It´s almost as long as my thumb!! Great! And when, again, you compare the axe with another mini, it´s obvious that size does matter.

It will be a joy to paint this fellow and now at last I have a miniature which can be used to show the scale of my terrain in future articles.
Another wonderful thing about coming back to home is that I can continue my harbor houses. Even tough my articles still cover the building process of the houses, I have in fact started to paint the trio. The reason for this is that I’m a terrible slow at writing articles. I have finished all the bigger parts and am now concentrating on little details. Here´s some WIP pics from the merchants house:

Never let the feeling of the new figure on your hands to fade!!
