“The key is making sure the paint isn’t too thick” – and also not too thin. Thick paint can obscure detail and may not dry smooth, but thin paint is more likely to leave that line you were talking about.

I love seeing technique in action. This is very cool.
Not too sure about the “sticking the brush in your Mouth” aspect. I do understand the benefits of spit but even if the paints are water based they still have some toxicity to them. Some pro painters are starting to realise this.

You can always just spit into your palette, and draw it from there. That way you’re not ingesting any paint.
Keeping your brush clean, and having a cup of water just for rinsing your blending brush will help reduce the amount of possible toxins you may ingest.
