Removed From Play is proud to present…
When Nerds Collide
In episode 11 we are joined by Matthias who purchased one of our guest episodes and threw extra support towards Hopelink so we were really excited to do this episode with him. It was a great time and we really appreciate the support!
“When Nerds Collide” is a podcast where 4 hosts discuss and debate nerd problems. Each host brings a problem that they must defend as a legitimate issue. Everyone has a chance to share their thoughts on the subject and then the other 3 hosts vote “Legit” or “Whining”. We rotate out hosts for special guests from the nerd community for additional outlooks and personalities.
We are covering topics ranging from “Han Shot First” to “Smelly Nerds at my LGS” to “Rules Lawyers,” and everything in-between. We aim to tackle topics from all levels of nerd culture. Movies, Comics, Video Games, Board games, Cosplay, and Conventions. While the debate is important, we are also trying to make these episodes as funny and entertaining as possible for nerds of all kinds.
The most important part of this podcast is the goal. We aim to raise money for the Charity Hopelink as part of “The Gauntlet,” a team event that takes place at Mox Boarding House in Bellevue. Teams compete to win the the Gauntlet while playing a variety of games. But the primary purpose is to raise money for a good cause, and this year it is Hopelink.
Team Removed From Play triumphed and took home the Gauntlet but when we started recording these…we had no idea what was going to happen. We just knew that Hopelink is a great cause, and we are proud to have this opportunity to make a difference for families in need. Thank You for supporting us and this great cause, in any way that you can. We have so much gratitude for the guests willing challenge us with interesting problems, the listeners for donating, and Hopelink for all the great work they do. If you enjoyed this project, please go donate whatever you can to Hopelink and help them keep doing such an amazing job! http://www.hope-link.org
