Ghools’ Painting Tips – How to Paint a Glass Bottle

A quick guide on how to paint a green wine bottle with a bit of liquid in it. This is a very simple and easy method for getting a decent quality result that gives the appearance of glass.
Once can stop after the bottle has been painted, or one can continue and add the liquid in the bottle at the very end.

All paints used in this video are Formula P3 by Privateer Press unless stated otherwise.

Base – Thornwood Green
Shade – Cryx Bane Base
Highlight 1 – 50/50 Traitor Green + Thrall Flesh
Highlight 2 – Add Menoth White Highlight to previous Highlight
Highlight 3 – Pure Menoth White Highlight

Base – same as shade (Cryx Bane Base)
Then outline top of liquid shape, and the bottom edge with Menoth White Highlight. Add a few white dots for bubble effects if desired.

Glaze Moldy Ochre over liquid, add a few spots in the middle tones for reflection, and add some dots of Cryx Bane Base in the middle of any bubbles for added dimension.
