Ghools’ Painting Tips – How to Paint a Colour: Pink

Some basic colour mixing in this video on how to make the most vibrant pinks. Using a pure magenta colour mixed with white will produce the truest pinks, and still retain the saturation without looking too pastel.

I also cover and explain ‘Overbrushing’ and the best ways to go about using the technique.

All paints used in this video are Formula P3 by Privateer Press unless stated otherwise.

Base – 70/30 Mix of Morrow White + Murderous Magenta
Highlight 1- 80/20 Mix of Morrow White + Murderous Magenta
Highlight 2 – 90/10 Mix of Morrow White + Murderous Magenta
Highlight 3 – Add a few more Drops of Morrow White to the previous highlight mix.

Final shade – Thinly Glaze a Mix of Murderous Magenta + a few drops of Sanguine Base into the shadows and anywhere you want extra depth or contrast.
